New ‘spotLights’ Short: Anubhav takes the stage

18 March 2026

After launching our very first YouTube Short with Teodora Piskova two weeks ago, we’re back with another video highlighting excellent (preprinted) work from within the preLights community.

This time, in Episode 18 of spotLights, we hear from Anubhav Prakash, a postdoctoral researcher in the Wickström lab at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine (Münster, Germany).

Anubhav reflects on the study he worked on while at Ashoka University and the Tata Institute for Fundamentals Research, both located in India. This work, now available as a preprint, reveals how junctional heterogeneity and cell‑specific mechanics orchestrate the rich morphospace of sensory epithelia. In under two minutes, he provides us with some unique insights into his work – work also highlighted in a preLights post prepared by Bhaval Parmar (link below).

You can read Anubhav’s preprint here: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2025.11.03.686357v1.full

And, of course, watch the Short below – enjoy!
