A developmental biologist who is fascinated by the questions of how epithelial cells dramatically change shape and move during development, and how the inappropriate reactivation of these processes contribute to cancer progression. In the Campbell lab we use Drosophila to investigate the basic mechanisms underlying epithelial cell plasticity, in particular, during endoderm morphogenesis and in exciting adult metastatic models we recently developed in collaboration with the Casali lab.
