I am currently a PhD student in the team of Jean-Leon Maitre at Institut Curie, Paris. I work on plasma membrane mechanics of early preimplantation embryos. I use optical tweezers and micro-pipette aspirations to measure the membrane tension and surface tension in the embryos. Before doing a PhD, I looked at inflammasome formation in early fish embryos with the help of optogenetic tools.

I love working with early embryos and different unicellular and multinucleated model systems but what I do enjoy is using light to manipulate biological systems, whether it is to see, measure, move or control cells, molecules or whole organisms 🙂
