“Publishers and early-career researchers working together: Guiding initiatives”

This paper, spearheaded by the preLights Community Manager and co-written by preLighter Benjamin Dominik Maier, is now live on the Early Online page of Science Editor. It is the final result of a ‘2024 Researcher to Reader Conference’ workshop which explored the perspectives of publishers and early-career researchers (ECRs) on existing ECR–publisher initiatives, highlighting technical, engagement, financial, and evaluation challenges.

Importantly, it doesn’t just identify challenges—it also presents co-created solutions and actionable recommendations to guide and improve current and future collaborations.
