I am interested in understanding how the generation of diverse cell types and tissue growth are coordinated during development to produce organs with correct final sizes and pattern. Before starting my group at IST Austria, I did my PhD with Marcos González-Gaitán and postdoc with James Briscoe. I am most likely to post about mechanisms of tissue growth control, morphogen gradients, biophysics/ quantitative analysis of development, neural tube development.
