I am a plant biologist interested in finding out how cell biological processes in plants are regulated by environmental cues. As a PostDoc at Wageningen University and Research I am studying how mRNA stability and translation is important for long-term seed viability (some seeds do stay viable over thousands of years). Previously I studied mechanical regulation  at plant morphogenesis at Umeå Plant Science Centre, Sweden. My PhD. dissertation (from National Centre for Biological Sciences, India) was on modulation of plant endocytic pathways by salinity stress.

My interest in science goes beyond my research topics. I am thrilled by latest developments in biology (which brought me here) and I like to visualize scientific discoveries in a broad  societal context.
