Beth Chopak

King’s College London

I am a second year PhD student at King’s College London, with an interdisciplinary footing in both the physical and life sciences. My research has not only sharpened my analytical skills but also reinforced the value of clear and accurate science communication. Reading widely across disciplines is a vital part of my daily practice: as is distilling complex findings into meaningful narratives for lab discussions, journal clubs, and wider audiences.

I’m particularly interested in work that sits at the interface of biology and physics – quantitative cell biology, biophysics, systems biology – but I also enjoy reading more broadly across the life sciences. I’d be enthusiastic about contributing regular posts to preLights and being part of a community that shares my interest in open, early-stage research
