• Research Scientist with expertise in Immunology & Neuroscience •

I am a Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the research group led by Prof. Michal Schwartz in the Department of Neurobiology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. My work focuses on advancing an innovative next-generation immunotherapy towards clinical implementation to harness the systemic immune system to fight against Alzheimer’s disease, and determine a blood-based biomarker to predict the onset and development of this neurodegenerative disorder.

I was born in Buenos Aires and earned my Ph.D. with the highest honors from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina. A former Visiting Research Fellow from the Charité in Germany, and Visiting Ph.D. Candidate from KU Leuven in Belgium, I was awarded with several fellowships, including an EMBO short-term fellowship, in recognition of my Ph.D. studies addressing the role of the immune system in the brain during neuroinflammation.

I am a “nature-holic”, whose partner is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Prof. Eran Elinav’s lab in the Department of Immunology at the same institute. I have two children, Bautista & Juan Cruz.
