Ramona Jühlen

Free University of Brussels

I am a postdoctoral fellow with the group of Prof Birthe Fahrenkrog at the Free University of Brussels, Belgium.

The focus of my research is on the obscure role of nuclear pore complex components, beyond their classical function in nucleo-cytoplasmic transport, and the resulting impact on distinct human disorders. I am currently interested in the role of nucleoporins as scaffold in cytoskeletal modules.

I especially enjoy reading preprints in the areas of mechanobiology, cell architecture and motility, but I am also greatly inspired by methodological approaches presenting bioinformatic tools.
