Hi! I am a postdoc in the lab of Monica Bettencourt-Dias, working on how and why the centrosome is maintained in some differentiated cells. During my studies, I worked on mRNA localization and gene expression regulation. I am fascinated by many topics in biology, but as a cell biologist I am particularly curious about the cytoskeleton. The way its multiple components function all together depending on the integration of dynamic signals… “wows” me every time! I am also very interested in aspects regarding the functioning of our community – peer review and open access policies, scientific integrity and science communication.
