A developmental biologist, with detours through biophotonics and human genetics that I have never quite recovered from. I tend to read sideways: my own work sits somewhere between flies, hormones and RNP condensates, but my curiosity moves around more than my pipette does. I enjoy the preprints that survive a first reading and then keep rearranging your assumptions for a week afterwards. And I read more than I write so I am here partly to make that ratio less embarrassing.
