I am a developmental and stem cell biologist at the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and I am one of the directors of the Company of Biologists. My research group aim to understand how pluripotent cells make the right differentiation decisions at the right place and the right time during early development. We are particularly interested in how communication between cells allows them to make decisions as local collectives rather than isolated individuals.
