David Wilson

David is a is a member of Prof. Neil Henderson’s research team at the Centre for Inflammation Research, he is investigating Biliary Disease in the liver to understand the key cellular, molecular and transcriptional components that drives progression of fibrosis.

David is a Wellcome Trust funded 1st year PhD student at Edinburgh University on the Tissue Repair Programme. He has a broad and diverse scientific background with time spent working as a Biomedical Scientist for the NHS, researching skeletal muscle repair and regeneration and Biliary injury response in the Liver.

Once upon a time he came from Glasgow but since then he has lived in Canada and Edinburgh. He lives at the foot of the Pentland Hills with a wife and two lively children. He likes getting about under his own steam on two feet or two wheels.
