I am currently Instructor at UT Southwestern in Dallas, where I started my postdoc in 2013 in the Herz Lab working on endosomal trafficking of Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) isoforms to understand the mechanism how ApoE4 contributes to Alzheimer’s disease. I finished my PhD in 2012 in the field of Neuroscience at the University of Freiburg, Germany, my thesis focused on the extracellular glycoprotein Reelin that signals through ApoE receptors to control neuronal migration, maturation, and plasticity. Before I focused on neuroscience I did my undergraduate in Biology at the University of Münster, Germany, where I studied blood coagulation for my diploma thesis. Besides bench work and science writing I love to ride the bicycle!

It does contain additional data, especially in the last figure!
